Splints and night guards
We offer a number of different splint materials for the construction of upper and lower bite splints and night guards to cater for all your requirements, our standard splint is produced on a fully adjustable articulator, utilizing a full coverage flat plane splint design terminating at the mesial half of the upper sevens ,other specifications can be included upon request for example:canine guidance and anterior repositioning .
Hard splint material
Our hard splints are constructed using IvoBase clear material we utilise desirable undercuts for retention, Ball clasps are used upon request or when we insufficient retention is seen as an issue. We cure our material at a low temperature over a long period of time, this benefits the appliance by reducing the amount of dimensional shrinkage. Which provides a better fit with minimal to no adjustments upon insertion,all our hard splints are returned along with a untouched model for you records.
Bi Laminate ( hard soft) Material
Bi laminate splints offer a comfortable lining as a solution to patients who can’t tolerate a ridged hard splints, at the denture studio we construct our bi laminate splints using thermo forming techniques and acrylic to build occlusal contact. Due to the flexible properties of the resilient lining fitment is also second to none requiring minimal to no adjustment.
CLEARsplint©Material
CLEARsplint©is a self-adjusting resin which offers superb accuracy and a comfortable solution for patients that can’t tolerate a hard acrylic splint or on the other hand are not suited to a Bi Laminate appliance due to various clinical reasons.
The material is also a fantastic HYPO allergenic solution for patents who are allergic to regular acrylics, this is because CLEARsplint© non Methyl-Methacrylate based
CLEARsplint©is an extremely forgiving material which can be repaired if broken or perforated and relined if ill fitmentoccurs after extended years of use.
